About the Event
Join Writers Collective of Canada (WCC) for a community writing workshop focused on ekphrastic writing -- the use of art in non-written mediums as a launchpad for written pieces. We will be inspired by examples of ekphrastic writing, then we'll try it ourselves.
Following the WCC exploratory writing methodology, we will write spontaneously, listen deeply, and respond to others. The workshop will help to generate new ideas and to advance existing stories and characters. It is suitable for both poetry and prose.
The workshop is FREE TO ATTEND.
No experience is required.
Please reserve your spot ASAP as seats are limited to 12.
Be sure to bring pen and paper with you. Writers are also encouraged to bring visual art, photographs, and song lyrics to inspire them, and some will also be provided.
