April Poetry Workshop

The poetry workshop is for anyone who would like to explore this literary form, who has never written poetry or who would just like an opportunity to share their experience of writing poetry with others. Participants need only bring a notebook and favourite writing tools.

We will concentrate mainly on writing free verse with the help of prompts and examples. We will explore several forms of poetry such as lune poetry, haiku and limericks, time permitting. Prompts include photos and a variety of topics to inspire writing. Participants will be encouraged to share their poems in a positive, non-judgmental atmosphere. It is meant to  be a fun and engaging experience for everyone.
