Prose in the Park 2017
Ottawa's premiere literary festival, Prose in the Park, is back for its third year, and the OIW is playing a key role in organizing it. Prose in the Park will again take place in Parkdale Park, Ottawa on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 11 am to 6 pm.
During the first two years, the festival attracted a total of 2200 people, and brought together 300 moderators, panelists, publishers and author/vendors. This year, the festival aims to attract 2000 book lovers. Over sixty English-language local authors and 24 Francophone authors will be selling their books, in addition to a dozen publishers from Montreal, Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa and New Brunswick.
Several outstanding established and emerging authors will be joining our panels. These include 2014 Giller Prize winner Sean Michaels, 2016 Giller Prize finalist Catherine Leroux, 2015 Hugh MacLennan Award winner Neil Smith and 2014 Danuta Gleed winner Paul Carlucci.
